A work-hiring platform for older people, designed so that ease of use is the main requirement rather than an afterthought.
Context and problem
Connecting older people with work opportunities. The challenge was not functionality: it was that the platform had to be usable without anyone's help.
Most hiring platforms assume a user comfortable buying online. That assumption did not hold here, and it was the central point of the project.
How we approached it
We took simplicity as a requirement rather than an aesthetic preference: short steps, legible text, nothing depending on interpreting an icon.
We modelled the two real roles — whoever posts work and whoever takes it — because they need different things from the same information.
What is running now
A platform to post, find and hire work simply, built so that age is not a barrier to using it.
Administration is centralised instead of scattered across calls and separate messages.
