A telemetry app to check critical variables and receive alerts without sitting in front of a fixed workstation.
Context and problem
Monitoring critical variables only helps if someone finds out in time. Depending on a fixed workstation means that outside working hours, or simply away from the desk, nobody finds out.
The challenge was bringing readings and alerts to the phone without turning the app into noise the team would eventually mute.
How we approached it
We separated two uses that often get mixed: checking status when you choose to, and being interrupted when something goes out of range.
As CuyoWeb's own development, we defined alert behaviour alongside the sensors instead of adapting to a closed platform.
What is running now
Readings and history from a phone, with alerts configurable around what matters for each installation.
It is part of TelemetricsLab, CuyoWeb's own product for thermal monitoring and IoT, where the full detail can be explored.
